The best part of Bermuda grass is that it can easily grow from seeds.

When to plant seeds

The most important requirement for good growth of Bermuda grass is right temperature. Plant the seeds in summer season (65-75 degree temperature).

How to plant

Always toil the lawn fresh. Remove all previous grass or plants, add good amount of fertilizer. Place the seeds in straight rows of one palm distance. Take care that the seeds should neither be too deep into the soil nor just on surface. Planting the seeds properly is important for its quick growth.

Required conditions

Soil should be moist. Water the seeded lawn regularly. Temperature needs to be constantly monitored. If there is rise in temperature, place a shade over the seeded lawn. In case of fall of temperature do not water the lawn. Any drastic change of temperature will hamper germination.

Time for seeds to germinate

If all the required conditions are fulfilled, Bermuda seeds take approximately 60 to 90 days.

In tropical weather areas, Bermuda grass maintains a beautiful green colour throughout the year.
